Let’s All Ban Al Gore’s Movie!

Just kidding. I’m not that crazy.

Seriously, I was reading over at Blogging Baby about the teacher who got into trouble for showing Al Gore’s movie about global warming. Seems some parent took offense, calling it offensive to our nation, “the greatest nation ever to exist on this planet.”

Thoughts on Being Pro-Choice

No, I’ve never had an abortion. It would take an extreme circumstance to make me get one or encourage a daughter of mine to get one. I do personally believe that too many abortions happen in this country, and yes, it is killing a baby. But I just can’t support outlawing abortion.

Watching the Contenders Line Up

Hoo boy, here we go again! Does anyone really care all that much who wants to be a Presidential nominee for the next election yet?

Honestly, this early in the game I watch the entire thing with a sense of amusement. John Edwards running for the Democratic nomination already. Others to follow when they get around to it and think the moment is right.

I have very little interest in who from either party plans on running right now. It’s a long time until we even have to worry about which nominees will actually run, and who knows what the situation will be at that point? Will the Iraq war be in better or worse shape? Will we have invaded anyplace else? How will relations with countries like North Korea or Iran be? Read the rest of this entry »
