Thursday Thirteen - 13 Things I’m Thinking About Today
- It’s miserably hot today.
- Humid too.
- Can’t believe I had to turn on the air conditioning at 10:30 this morning, but it was already nearly 90 degrees F in the house.
- Time to refill the kiddie pool.
- My poor, poor garden. Hard to keep up with the watering just now.
- Sure hope they get my dress for the wedding finished by tomorrow. All it needs is a little shoulder strap work.
- Tailor was supposed to be done yesterday but the store forgot to give it to her.
- I hate shoe shopping. At least when the popular shoe styles all have heels higher than I will wear or lower than I need to keep from having the dress hemmed.
- Thank goodness for online shoe shopping.
- At least things are coming together for my son’s speech therapy.
- I feel like baking.
- Lemon meringue pie or cinnamon rolls? Decisions, decisions!
- I’m feeling really random right now.

I like baking, but NOT when it is 100 in the shade outside!! Bake when it cools down into Fall.

Believe me, Denise, the heat is why I’m resisting. It’s been on my mind for a few weeks, since I’ve scarcely baked all summer. Starting to drive me up the wall thinking about it.
But cinnamon rolls could be prepared now, and baked in the morning before things get too hot. It’s sooooo tempting! And I have all these lemons just begging to be used. I really just need to juice and freeze, so I can do that when the weather is right.

It’s so hot and humid here as well.
Did you bake? I love baking as well….. can’t wait for it to cool down a bit so I can start cooking healthy again. And not so healthy, too! LOL

No, didn’t bake. Went swimming instead.
This heat wave is exactly why I need my husband to fix the barbeque! The propane line is leaking somewhere, so I can’t cook outside right now, which is what I really prefer to do in this kind of weather.
On the other hand, yay for crockpots!
