Thursday Thirteen - 13 Holiday Shopping Thoughts
- Hooray for online shopping! I get to avoid the lines and the crowds.
- Why is a daughter who wants everything she sees advertised on TV so hard to shop for?
- If online shopping is so easy, why am I not done yet?
- Too bad my inlaws will be out of town. Kids are going to miss their grandparents. But at least they get to see my sister-in-law have their next grandchild. But we’re doing their shopping for our kids too.
- I love shopping at Amazon
.
- ThinkGeek.com
can be a lifesaver when I don’t know what else to buy.
- Or eBay
when my shopping ideas are a bit more obscure.
- It was fun finding a certain special gift for one of my nieces just by accident when my sister had been looking all over town for it.
- Really have to finish shopping soon or pay extra for fast shipping.
- Keeping the kids’ presents hidden is a part of the fun.
- I have to get Cars
for my son. He loves that movie and he’s never seen the whole thing.
- They may not be old enough to read them on their own, but my kids are getting The Dangerous Book for Boys
and The Daring Book for Girls
this year. They’ll still be fun to go over together and should last for years.
- One good thing about my inlaws being out of town - I get to borrow their car, making any local holiday shopping that much easier.

I’m doing online shopping, too. I also got lucky and won a LOT of gifts this year, so it is going to be a much better Christmas financially.
Great list.

Would you believe I haven’t even started my holiday shopping yet? I must be one of those that likes the last minute hustle and mobs at the store because even though I always swear I’m shopping early, I never ever do!!!
Happy TT!

I do mostly online shopping as well. Especially since most of my family is out of state, I just have it shipped there! Makes life easy!

I’ve done most of mine already, mostly because I have to–my gift recipients are all in Scotland, which requires planning. I don’t know what we’re going to do for Christmas this year–we live in an RV (about 200 sq. ft!) so getting vast quantities of “stuff” is not an option.
You probably have trouble with #2 because kids want everything and, as a sane parent, you know that said items won’t be played with enough. I know my parents had that same issue.
Happy TT. I have three:

I love Amazon, though I normally buy used copies from their marketplace stores.
