Thursday Thirteen - 13 Events in My Life This Past Year
Since it’s the end of the year I thought I would take a look at how it went for me, and what things have changed or just been interesting. No particular order here, just as I think of them.
- Sold my car and didn’t replace it.
My husband and I now share a car, which has worked amazingly well. It’s not as hard to be a one car family as most think when one of the people works at home. - One of my sisters got married.
- My grandmother died.
- My sister-in-law had a son.
- Took the kids to see snow for the first time.
- My daughter started kindergarten.
- My daughter lost her first tooth.
- My sisters and I painted our mother’s house for a birthday present
- I started In Mother Words to allow other parents to share funny parenting stories.
- My son started speech therapy.
- Took my daughter to Disneyland for the first time.
- We had to deal with frozen pipes
In the San Diego area, this is particularly exceptional. I’ve never had to deal with frozen pipes before in my life, and last January we had them twice! - My cell phone survived being dunked in a sink full of water by my son, while powered on.
It’s been a fun year, all in all.

Unfortunately, my cell phone did not survive being submerged in water, but then, it was toilet water.
Happy TT

It’s definitely been a busy year for you! Glad it was mostly good. Isn’t that what we all want.

I can’t imagine only having one car. Hubby and I drive in the same directions, but he has to have his for work. He drives from stop to stop. We would be killing each other.
I have my TT up as well, check it out!
