Pearl Necklace Sold for Record Price
Hey, I’m a fan of fine jewelry, but sometimes these things just go too far. And $7.1 million seems like an awful lot for a pearl necklace, no matter how beautiful.
Be an interesting thing to see, perhaps, pearls the size of gumballs. I spent years working in the jewelry industry, so these things can be a matter or curiousity to me.
The price is a recordbreaker for a pearl necklace, about twice the old record.
High level jewelry has always fascinated me, but never to the point that I can imagine wanting a piece. Just a part of not having near the money, but paying more for a piece of jewelry than I would pay for a home has always seemed ridiculous.
