Nun Claims John Paul II Cured Her
Just one of those stories I find interesting. A nun who claims John Paul II cured her Parkinson’s disease has been identified.
I’m a not terribly devout Catholic myself. I find these events interesting, but have never really looked into the whole process of declaring a miraculous cure, the process for beautifying a saint, etc. It is interesting seeing the one Pope I can remember aside from the current one going through that process.
I will admit the testing sounds pretty thorough. They look for possible medical reasons for the cure. They make sure the disease was really there and is really gone. In this particular case, the nun will undergo psychiatric analysis and handwriting analysis. It all sounds pretty intense.
