How Are You at Photography?
I’m not a bad photographer, I figure. Not tops, but good enough. Wouldn’t mind being better, though.
The Digital Photography Success ebook seems like a good choice for improving my skills. I can take the casual pictures of my family and have a fair chance of it coming out adequately, but anything beyond that is sheer chance.
My camera is an old, 3 megapixel Sony. We got it back when 5 megapixels were still pretty expensive, and the 3 megapixel was actually a pretty good camera. If only we had waited six months or so….
But I digress. It’s not a bad camera and it can take good pictures. For example:

I think that one came out pretty well. Given the scenery in that area, there were plenty of chances for great photos, but I had a fair number not turn out at all. That’s pretty typical though.
What I like about the ebook is that she’s offering more than just the ebook. She is (for now at least with no promise to continue) offering a video course to go along with it, so you can see what is being taught. So much better than just reading about it. Photography is so visual that having companion videos makes a lot of sense to me.
