Sorry, Rosie, but I just can’t picture it. You, hosting The Price is Right? It just seems wrong.
I’ll be the first to admit that it is just plain tough to picture anyone other than Bob Barker hosting The Price is Right. He is the definitive host for that show. And I haven’t been able to picture anyone else in that role, even though I haven’t watched it in many years.
But Rosie’s public persona is just too loud to be pictured as the host. I know she’s had a great deal of success on various shows, but I don’t think this is the one for her.

What can I say? A vacation sounds good right now. Most times, really. But for now I guess I will have to settle for this Build A Sandcastle from Beaches Resorts. It’s cute and kind of fun.
The sandcastle becomes an ecard. I took a screenshot since I don’t see any code anywhere to embed it:

The builder was really easy to use. I can picture kids having a lot of fun with it, although my daughter was too busy playing Cinderella’s Wedding to help me. Maybe later. That’s little girls when they get deep into their imagination. Can’t distract them with anything, and heaven help you if you don’t want to play along. I won’t be able to stay online for long here.
Anyhow, you can take a look at my ecard by following this link if the screenshot isn’t good enough for you. Then you can try one of your own and see what you come up with. It is really easy to get creative. Probably also very easy to waste too much time on it. Not that I’m complaining.
Now I just need an excuse to get there. Oh, and money. And a son who travels better than he does, as I’d like to be able to sleep at night.
Hmm. Guess I’d better wait a while on that wish.

- Playing with my kids.
- Going out with my husband.
- Working on my home business. Yes, this does contradict #1 & 2. That’s life.
- Exercising.
- Reading.
- Gardening.
- Drawing.
- Learning to quilt.
- *** (hey, some things are personal!)
- Talking to my sisters.
- Visiting family members.
- Camping.
- Relaxing.
I guess most of those contradict one another. After all, isn’t that how wishing for more time to do things goes?
And no, they aren’t in any particular order except the order I thought of them in.

I talk about all kinds of things here. That’s why I started this blog, to have a place to talk about random stuff I learn about or read online. It’s fun.
But if celebrity rumors are more your thing, there are places for that. Sites such as Celebrity Gossip.
The color scheme uses quite a bright pink, which is certainly attention getting, if not a personal favorite. You can get points for joining and for referring friends, and points can be exchanged for magazines.
There’s quite a bit of gossip, so if that’s something you enjoy, you’ll find some good reading, and the comments can be fun too. I don’t generally read these myself, but read a couple and did find it amusing.
I just want to know if a burning bush was involved.
The Vatican has released a 36-page document called “Guidelines for the Pastoral Care of the Road” which contains 10 commandments for how you should behave while driving. Just little things like how you treat pedestrians, road rage and keeping your car in shape.
Oh, and apparently cars should not be used for vanity or personal glorification. So much for all the fancy cars out there. When the time comes and I get a minivan, I assume that won’t count. Not much glorious about that. Read the rest of this entry »
I’m already married. My sister is engaged, getting married in September. Her engagement ring is nicely unusual - it has a beautiful star sapphire for its center stone. My ring doesn’t have a diamond center stone either; sapphire for me, but the regular sort, not a star sapphire.
We’re like that in my family. None of us has the traditional diamond engagement rings for her. Sapphire was the choice 3 out of 4 times, with the last having a highly unusual filigree band with tiny colored diamonds in it. I think that’s what comes of most of us working in the jewelry industry for a time - we got picky and wanted to stand out.
That’s not to say I can’t admire a good diamond engagement ring. In fact, I don’t mind wandering through a good website with a healthy selection of them. The site linked above has some great designs and offer custom designs as well. I’m a big fan of custom and semi-custom styles. It’s just nice to be able to have some say in exactly how your ring looks.
