This should be interesting. I’m sure there are plenty who will consider it all just a little too PC, but Harvard is changing its curriculum to include required courses on other societies, in an attempt to beat parochialism.
All in all this could be good, but it depends on the actual execution of the ideas. Studying other cultures can have tremendous advantages, but it can be done in ways that do more harm than good. I hope they can keep to a high standard, not just the easy, politically correct, or shallow versions.

Ahh, just doesn’t sing well. Maybe it’s me.
But I want to go to Disney World one of these days. And when I do, I hope to have the sense to check out sites such as this one that sells Disney World tickets, so that I can get the best price I can. They offer free shipping if you order enough in advance, a nice treat, and the price does include tax.
And no, you don’t have to attend timeshare presentations to get your discounts… Phew!
One of the advantages to buying online is that you don’t have to wait in line at the park to buy your tickets. Those lines can be pretty bad, so an online purchase can be a delightful timesaver.
Just one of those pieces of news that really catches you off guard. From what I’m seeing, they don’t have an exact cause of death yet, just that they found him unresponsive in his office, and were unable to revive him.
Jerry Falwell founded the Moral Majority, which is pretty much what brought the religious right into play in politics in this country.
I’ll be frank enough to admit that I often didn’t like his views, but then he was quite the controversial figure much of the time. Quotes such as “AIDS is the wrath of a just God against homosexuals.” frankly pissed me off. Just not the kind of Christianity I have ever been comfortable with. Then again, at least he stated his beliefs.

There’s nothing like tormenting your guests. And so today I bring you the Kitty Litter Cake, as seen on WikiHow!
Just smile as you serve it. Make sure the cat is around when you bring it out, so as to really disturb your guests.
This would probably be best in a few months… say, Halloween. There just aren’t too many parties where you can play such a… well, delicious(?) prank on your guests and get away with it.
I sometimes post paid posts on this blog. It’s more fun than you might think, and I tend to get really picky about what I write about. Have to be feeling it.
And then there are the fun things they do, such as their HDTV Tuesdays that they’re holding this month. Posties have the chance to write opps that will earn them prizes, including a new HDTV that will be offered at the end of this month.
Yes, Tuesdays at PayPerPost have been pretty crazy this month. The prizes vary each week, but this week Posties have chances to get a Slingbox, Nintendo Wii, Yamaha Surround Sound System or a Logitech universal remote.
I’ve not tried terribly hard to get any of the prizes, but certainly won’t complain if I can get one. Of the above, the Wii sounds like the most fun to me. I’ve seen them in use, and I can picture my family enjoying it, even though my kids are too young for a lot of the games. They have a sponsor, Bid4Prizes, who is helping to make this happen.
But of course the main reason I like PayPerPost is the ability to make money from my blogs. I can earn other ways, but this allows me to know what I’m getting for a particular effort. That’s always nice to have.
But working with a company that makes things fun in so many ways as I work is a real treat. No matter the controversy that some feel should surround it. I’ve always felt that it has more to do with how you do paid posts that matters than whether or not you do them.
