You just know there will have to be a Quidditch roller coaster. The Harry Potter theme park will be built in Florida. The park is scheduled to open in 2009.
On the other hand, would you trust any of the trees? Especially anything looking like a Whomping Willow?
It should be interesting to see how such a theme park goes. I mean, there are the people who think Harry Potter promotes witchcraft and/or Satanism. What will they think?
Being in Florida means the park will have to stand up to some pretty serious competition. And at the rate things are going there, maybe the entire state should just be declared a theme park. There are certainly enough of them there.

A good antispyware is vital to a good online experience. If you go online without protecting your computer, without scanning it regularly, you are going to experience trouble.
The trick can be finding the right antispyware for your needs. And that is where finding a site that gives good anti-spyware software reviews is important.
The above site gives you information on a variety of antispyware products. I checked the review of one of my favorites, Ad-Aware. It’s a program that I personally use, so I know it well. I would consider it to be more of a discussion of the features than a review of how it works, but knowing the features is important.
I would have liked to see more direct comparisons, but I will admit that is quite challenging to do, as it generally involves having a computer deliberately infected, then scanned by each software to see who does the best. But I do like getting the amount of information about each software.
Rather than do the usual list of 13 things, I compiled a group of pictures of the eyes of people in my family.
Why?
Because I’m curious to see how noticeable this is. My husband insists that they shape of the eyes on my side of the family is very consistent, and that if you took a picture of the various members, starting from my maternal grandmother on down, the only difference in eyes would be the color, not the shape. Well, ok, the aging of the skin would give some things away too.
So I went through tons of photos to find reasonably clear shots of various eyes in my family. No easy task since the huge majority of the pictures are of the kids. But I did finally gather 13 reasonably clear photos of eyes. 4 generations’ worth. Including myself, and just for contrast if you can spot him, my husband.

I love the shops at CafePress. So much creativity. There are some really great finds there. And the best part is that all you need is an idea of your own to give it a try too.

I’ve often thought that I should try making some of my own designs sometime. You don’t have to be able to draw all that well, after all. Many designs are nothing more than text.
Ah, the delight of children. Good thing Buddhists are patient, no? Because a toddler decided it would be fun to play in the sand of a mandala they had been working on. They had been more than halfway done.
Of course, being Buddhist monks, they understand that all is temporary and the toddler’s destruction of all their hard work is merely a reminder of that. They’ve started over. Read the rest of this entry »
